Solution Team®

Resolving Bullying That Persists

When bullying continues despite discipline, mediation, or repeated conversations, schools often feel stuck. Solution Team® is a structured, educator-led approach that helps schools resolve ongoing bullying and cyberbullying without relying on punishment alone. Guided by trained staff, students are brought into a supervised process that helps them take responsibility for ending harm and improving peer relationships.

HOW IT WORKS

Activating student empathy

Rather than focusing on blame or punishment, the school brings together a small group of students and engages their sense of fairness and responsibility to help end the bullying of a peer. The process is facilitated by trained staff — counselors, deans, teachers, or school leaders — with adults remaining firmly in charge throughout.

When bullying does not resolve through everyday classroom strategies, educators follow a structured process:

Listen and support

Educators begin by listening carefully to the targeted student and ensuring they feel supported.

Bring students together

A small group of students is thoughtfully selected and brought together by a trained facilitator.

Identify specific actions

Through guided conversation, students agree on specific actions they will take to improve the situation.

Monitor improvement

School staff follow up over time to ensure that the bullying and cyberbullying have ended and that peer relationships have improved.
